I am currently a UX Design student at DesignLab.

 

After graduating from East Carolina University in 2014 with a BS in Apparel Merchandising I found myself working for Macy's as a Visual Manager. I worked on developing my design skill as well as my management style. After 3 years I took the leap in the corporate world. I worked for Paradies Lagadere til 2020 as there Visual Merchandising Manager of Displays. Probably one of my most important experience to date,  I learned the ropes of working in a corporate atmosphere and learned to communicate effectively.  

 

I've always thrived in being creative and for over 8 years i’ve dedicated myself to visual design. I pull my inspiration from collaboration and expectations. Continually stepping into projects without bias and a fresh perspective. 

 

 When 2020 hit and I lost my job due to the Pandemic that creative mindset went on overdrive. Searching for a new path to share I landed on UX. Over the past 5 months I have learned so much about the skill sets needed to become a UX Designer. I am more than ever driven to not just learn but become a part of this growing community.
